On his way home through the city (because the Dodge broken down again) on the outing of the seventh season in the show, Al is suddenly moved into politics when he's informed of a not-yet-introduced two cent tax on beer. Al mounts a campaign against this political tyranny towards the working man, and demands that his voice be heard throughout the city.
